Lock/Tag out Example

Lock/tag out example of a shear on a lowboy ready to be transported to a new logging location.

It is important that logging equipment on trailers for transporting purposes be properly secured.

On each piece equipment there is a part attached to the machine, when pinned to the unit on either end of the hinge pin, will prevent the machine from oscillating to the point of falling off the trailer. Looking at this picture you can clearly see this machine will not pivot. Of course, you will need to secure the machine to the trailer with the correct number of chains and ratchets that meet DOT standards.
